Volunteer

How can I volunteer?

Volunteers are needed for many tasks from the planning stages to the day of the Greenway Challenge.

Please contact Barbara Dixon and let her know you'd like to help! Email her at bdixon@nps.gov or call her at 401-762-0250 ext 30.

It can't happen without you!

Volunteers in Parks - John H. Chaffee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage CorridorVolunteer and become a VIP!

When you sign up as a volunteer with the Greenway Challenge, you become a member of the Volunteers-In-Parks (VIP) program of the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. This means that you join hundreds of other volunteers throughout the Blackstone Valley and tens of thousands throughout the nation who give their time through the VIP Program of the National Park Service.

Volunteer for the Greenway Challenge and have fun

Volunteer and have a blast!

The Greenway Challenge simply would not happen each year without the enthusiastic support of over 100 volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to be part of one of New England's most popular adventure race.

Thank you dinner at Chans Restaurant in Woonsocket for Greenway Challenge Volunteers

Thank you

As our way of thanking you, as a Greenway Challenge volunteer, you are given a meal ticket for the finish line banquet and you receive an official volunteer t-shirt! Also, all volunteers are invited to a special Thank You Awards Party  which is held for volunteers, sponsors and team award recipients which happens in October.
We need transition site workers, race monitors, and registration help. If you'd like to become part of our photography team, let Michelle Fontaine know.  The  Steering Committee of the Greenway Challenge, sponsors and partners deeply appreciate the work of the Greenway Challenge Volunteers.
