Volunteers are needed for many tasks from the planning stages to the day of the Greenway Challenge.

Volunteer and
become a VIP!
When you sign up as a volunteer with the Greenway Challenge, you become a member of the
Volunteers-In-Parks (VIP) program of the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. This means that you join hundreds of other volunteers throughout the Blackstone Valley and tens of thousands throughout the nation
who give their time through the VIP
Program of the National Park Service.

The Greenway Challenge simply would not happen each year without the enthusiastic support of over 100 volunteers. As our way of thanking you, as a Greenway Challenge volunteer, you are given a meal ticket for the finish line banquet and you receive an official volunteer t-shirt! Also, all volunteers are invited to a special Thank You Awards Party which is held for volunteers, sponsors and team award recipients which happens in October.We need transition site workers, race monitors, and registration help. If you'd like to become part of our photography team, let Michelle Fontaine know.
