Each year race organizers alter the course to give participants a new look at the Blackstone River Valley that spans Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Valley was designated as a National Heritage Corridor by Congress in 1986 in honor of the area’s heritage as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution and features some of the most beautiful landscapes in New England.
