Greenway Challenge Race Divisions
From the Masters to Ironwoman, there is a division for you!
The Greenway Challenge is an annual adventure race held in the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor that spans Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Teams of up to nine athletes run, paddle, and cycle over the approximately 50-mile course as a relay. In 2009, the course consisted of two paddling legs, three running segments, one road cycling leg and one a combination of off-road and on-road bike leg. Tri-athletes in our Ironman and Ironwoman Divisions complete the entire course on their own with the help of one support person who moves equipment between segments.
For 2010, teams and individuals may register in one of the following divisions:
Championship Division - If your heart beats purely for the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, this is where your team needs to be. Top picture shows our 2009 Championship Division winners, and Sponsor, Great Canadian Canoe and Kayak Co!
