We will be exploring ways to diversify and enhance the revenue stream needed to take the Valley's premier outdoor recreational event to new levels. We'd appreciate your expertise. Welcome - The Steering Committee welcomes Captain Morin to its team! Captain Morin has now become a member of the Steering Committee and will also return as Chair of the Logistics Committee for 2007. Captain Morin is a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, RI. He earned his title of Captain during his tenure on the Woonsocket Fire Department. After 30 years of service, he retired in 2001 as Captain of Training. Captain Morin is also involved with the River Rescue Dive Team and The Swift Water River Rescue. It is through these volunteer efforts that he met Barbara Dixon 7 years ago, and of course he was then recruited into the Greenway Challenge! Welcome Captain Morin!

Blackstone River Coalition Check Presentation - January 4, 2007, 7:00p.m., Woonsocket Harris Library. Please join us as the Blackstone River Valley Greenway Challenge Steering Committee makes its check presentation to the Blackstone River Coalition as the 2006 charitable organization of the Greenway Challenge. We are pleased to present this donation to the Coalition and thank them for all the work and effort in creating a fishable/swimable Blackstone River by 2015. Save the Date - On Sunday, April 15th....yes... TAX DAY....we're offering you a new kind of Challenge, the Greenway Bowl-a-Thon! Put your team together (maximum of 5) and join us for the Challenge! Enter in one of the following divisions; Master, Recreational, Championship, Corporate Cup, All Women or all Men. Trophies will be awarded.
